Chris Cronin is a Yorkshire-based filmmaker whose debut feature The Moor premiered at FrightFest and went on to secure international distribution. The film was praised by critics, with Kat Hughes (The Hollywood News) calling it “Truly Spectacular,” and Time Out naming it one of the Top 10 Horror Films of 2024.

 

Cronin is now developing his second feature, Devil of the North — a Yorkshire-set psychological crime thriller. Blending the atmosphere of Silence of the Lambs and Se7en with forensic authenticity, the film follows a female crime scene investigator confronting a series of ritualistic murders while grappling with her own buried trauma.
